Igelle DS86 1.0.0 RELEASE CANDIDATE

Igelle DS86 is a graphical desktop operating system for PC computers. The release candidate for the 1.0.0 release of Igelle DS86 is now available for download on www.igelle.com. Please download, try it out, and hopefully your experience of using Igelle on your PC desktop or laptop will be exciting and pleasurable. Please post your experiences, and help us make Igelle even better in the coming versions. If all goes well, the final release of Igelle DS86 1.0.0 will be within the next couple of weeks.

Hello! I installed Igelle and I must say: good work! This system is really user-friendly. Installation on my old computer (Intel Celeron 2.8 GHz, 256 MiB RAM) takes only 4 minutes! Ok, but I have question:
- I wanted install some softwares, but on the list I see only three applications: GNAC, Firefox and OpenOffice. This mean, that only three program are offical in "repository" ?

Hi Kuba,
Great to hear your kind comments. As for the software, what we have available right now is just the initial batch, and more apps will be added on a continuing basis. We will also be updating new versions of softwares as they come along. Unlike with some Linux distributions, applications are not developed as part of the core system, so the "repository" can and will be continuously updated and added to.
By the time we take out the "release candidate", the list of available apps should be more extensive. We will also be making available instructions on how to make your own sjapp's. Is there any particular app(s) you are looking for, btw?
